Natural - one of many natural shades available in this size, that adds classic colour and protection to interior and exterior wood. This solvent-based wood stain is long lasting and durable, preventing peeling and flaking from the surface of the wood. A. It is highly dependant of the amount of wear and location of the area this product has been applied to. In higher traffic areas you may need a yearly maintenance, if you do require a hard wearing surface for interiors we recommend a system of one coat Classic and two coats Sadolin Extra Durable Varnish. For exterior surfaces a system of one coat Classic and two coats Extra Durable Woodstain is recommended for extra protection. Do not apply more than one coat of Classic in these systems as it can cause the top coats to not adhere to the surface. Please note : Once colours have been tinted, they cannot be cancelled or returned as they have been mixed to your specific requirements.Sadolin Classic Wood Protection absorbs deeply into the timber to provide exceptional protection against the weather. Its microporous formulation allows any moisture within the timber to freely pass through the surface. It is also designed to remain flexible, allowing for any expansion of the wood with temperature changes. This prevents any peel of the stain, allowing it to perform long-term. The use of linseed oil putty or modified, non-setting compounds are not recommended in conjunction with Sadolin Wood Protection systems Ensure that Sadolin Woodstain is thoroughly stirred before and during application, otherwise sheen and colour variations may be experienced. Sadolin Classic Wood Protection is ready to use from the tin and does not require thinning.

Avoid over spreading Sadolin Classic as this will reduce the long term durability and performance of the coating Do not apply if there is a risk of rain, or when air / substrate temperatures are below 8 °C or above 25 °C, or if the relative humidity is above 80% during application or drying periods. Protect from frost and rain until dry. Failure to meet these requirements may adversely affect the drying, visual quality and durability of the finish. Sample pots: Our Sadolin Classic tester pots are ideal if you want to apply and compare finishes to your desired wooden materials. Choose from a range of 50 colours, only available in the tinted colour range. Apply Sadolin Classic Wood Protection in a full flowing coat, working well into joints and ensuring end grains or sawn timbers are coated to saturation Timber surfaces must be suitably prepared, clean, sound and dry. Any minor surface defects, imperfections or open joints can be filled with a suitable wood filler prior to coating Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Apply Sadolin Classic to the timber, redistributing the coating after 5-10 minutes in the direction of the grain. Allow a minimum of 16-24 hours drying time before recoating or applying Sadolin Extra as a topcoat. Where possible, the base coat should be applied to all surfaces of the wood prior to fixing in place
