About this deal
I used my Sizzix machine and the Sizzix Bigz Plus Die – Bunting to cut bunting flags from the plastic bag. I’ve never tried cutting plastic on my Sizzix machine but it worked pretty well, just catching a few times. You could easily do this step by hand if you don’t have a die cutting machine. We were going to add a list of suitable craft materials for children to use to make their flags with but, when thinking about it, almost any children's craft embellishments will do. A sun-filled day at the beach is the best kind of summer day and a great way to spend their family vacation.

Mosaic’s are a great way to practice both scissor skills and fine motor skills as you glue your mosaic pieces onto your template.Make a sandcastle (it doesn't have to be on a beach; in a sandpit would do if, like me, you can't get to the seaside) Give your kids the shovel and pail as they head to the shore to make sand castles while the rest of the family relaxes under the beach umbrellas. We use this laminator and cannot express how much we love it! It is not only inexpensive, it is SO easy to use!

We made a fun sandcastle craft using this template and a squeegee, it’s a great alternative if you fancy a change from using a paintbrush! Here is an easy craftyactivity that I do with the kids each summer. I am not at all a crafting guru and this is super simple and hardly costs a penny, so any regular mum like me can have a go! If we are honest I am a little late getting this post up on my blog but seeing as we are having an Indian summer right now, I'll go for it.
