About this deal

It may seem weird if you look at such a person without any psychological understanding of their situation. You know, like those old-fashioned ones in films where the teachers will hit him with sticks and make him eat slugs for dinner? I will say that I am willing to give this another go if I feel like it at some stage just because I'm left feeling like I must have missed something because everyone is loving this book. This stems from their childhood environment and is carried into their adulthood and adult relationships, be they romantic, work, or others.

There are times when you feel sorry for the characters and other times that you want to strangle them. It’s equally important to take note when you unnecessarily blame yourself for things you can’t control. I had read some cosy mysteries previously from Jackie Kabler, and enjoyed them, but this has really stepped up a gear and is a full blown psychological drama - it crept under my skin, and may continue to cling onto me for a while after finishing it. Kaber intricately inserts so many secrets and so many outcomes on what could or may have happened along with the knowledge that not everyone is who they seem. This compelling thriller is a story about three women from different social standings, Thea,Annabelle and Thea's ex personal assistant Flora who is now working for Annabelle.Am I Guilty begins like pretty much every other domestic thriller, but it's when the sense of creeping unease becomes palpable after the first couple of chapters that it truly picks up speed and continues to hurtle down the line like a runaway train. They can offer guidance by helping you identify and address the causes of guilt, explore effective coping skills, and develop greater self-compassion. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be a big reveal but the revelation about Greg was definately guessed early on from me. The book starts with news correspondent Cora Baxter having the weekend from hell as she is dumped by her boyfriend over the phone.

The story is completely gripping and very cleverly written, told from the POV of all the different characters, drip feeding the reader little snippets of information, and making the reader want to solve the case. There were times during this that I suspected everyone, at other times I was completely convinced that Thea was truly guilty - it was incredibly hard to know who to believe. To access you ebook(s) after purchasing, you can download the free Glose app or read instantly on your browser by logging into Glose.I requested and was gifted a copy of this book via NetGalley and this is my honest review after choosing to read it. Punishing yourself might seem like a good strategy for self-improvement, but it’s not very helpful in the long run.

For example, as children and adolescents, people feel responsible for the needs and emotions of their parents, siblings, and other family members. She is the creator and author of the Cora Baxter Mysteries series which follows an investigative journalist and news correspondent named Cora Baxter as she uses her skills to solve crimes. It is definitely emotional what she is going through and as much as I want to say what happened should never have occurred, people make mistakes. An outside perspective can also make a big difference, especially if you’re dealing with survivor guilt or guilt about something you had no control over. Gripping, exciting and emotional, this book will grab you from the first page and refuse to let you go until the final chapter!
