About this deal

I hope your family loves this recipe as much as mine does, I’m sure it will be made over and over again in our house. I'm not an early morning person but a couple of weeks ago I had to wake up early for an event and that turned out to be a most fortuitous thing indeed. Roll out the remaining dough, drape it over the rolling pin and lift it over the apples, or roll out the dough on baking paper, then flip it onto the apples and peel the paper away.

Set the tin on a wire rack and quickly brush the top of the tart with apricot jam or glaze to give a glossy sheen. Have your child predict which liquid will work the best and record it on the free apple oxidation experiment worksheet. Put just over half the biscuit mix (350gms) into the greased cake tin and lightly press down until it is evenly spread out on the tin. With only five ingredients this recipe is super easy to make and a great baking option to fill the kids lunchboxes.Step 1 - Preheat oven to 160C/320F and line a 20x20 or 8x8 inch square baking tin with parchment on the base and sides. Eat warm from the oven with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or enjoy a slice with friends at an informal afternoon tea. Of course, depending on the age of your child will determine how long they will stay engaged in the activity. It's important to use flour that does not have any rising agents as we will be adding our own in the right amounts. This simple recipe uses canned apples to make a layered dessert that looks amazing and tastes even better.

My desk is usually heaped with marking, textbooks, notes from students and parents, my untouched lunch, hundreds of pens and pencils, chalk, confiscated glue bottles, scissors, the Dead Sea Scrolls, Waldo, etc. Build strong reading habits and celebrate your achievements — whether that’s a daily goal, a new reading record or how many books you’ve read this year. Arrange the apple slices, slightly overlapping, in the cooled pastry case, starting from the edge and working round in neat concentric circles.

For the buttermilk I made it by adding 5g (big teaspoon) of bottled lemon juice to 80g oatmilk and let it stand for a bit. If you have ever gone apple picking then you know that the stem is how an apple is attached to a tree. I hope your kid learned the basics of the scientific method and why apples brown from this experiment.
