About this deal

After checking for issues, i noticed that the layer shift is caused by the X motor pulley which was not tightened good enough from the factory.

If it looks like the belt is riding high or low on the pulleys, you can try loosening the clamps screws a bit and nudging the belt up or down until it is parallel.

The Sidewinder X2 resumes the printing process without any problems after a power failure and triggers an alarm if the filament runs out. If there are any stubborn ones, try using the end of a screwdriver to tap the side of the nut until it rotates enough to drop down. Make sure to use a flat wash in the latter case so that the screw head doesn’t deform the belt slot.

In the front left of the base, the color touchscreen resides, and on top the SD card and USB outlet.Print out the drill guide and align it to the aluminum bed carriage—the oval rim has a slight taper that should help it sit precisely. With most of the printers I’ve tested, too often the BLTouch didn’t work properly (the bed installed too crooked, wrong Z-offset, etc. Unfortunately, the end stops are fixed to the aluminum profiles, so that subsequent adjustment requires additional effort.

The printed belt clamps attach to the aluminum carriage at two points: with an M4 flat-head screw through one of the roller wheel attachment holes, and with an 8 mm M3 screw through the original belt slot. And because they have very tight tolerances, very precise alignment is necessary to prevent binding, especially in applications where two rails are installed in parallel. If you want a better cooling duct that works with the firmware settings and BLTouch, you can download my remix from Thingiverse. As previously mentioned, the heatbed runs on mains power allowing quick heating and higher temperature. However, if the current were to be disrupted, the plate would cool down and, your model would no longer adhere properly (happened to me in a test). After further inspection I found out that the bi-metal heat break was leaking between the copper thread and the tube. The heatbed runs on mains power (in my case 220V) and it’s powered by the integrated Solid State Relay.
