About this deal

The Alienware AW2521H covers 98% of sRGB and around 80% DCI-P3 which means it is not the most vibrant, but it still is great for gaming. On the other hand, if that’s not an option, at least try to get a monitor that has VESA mounting capabilities, so you can grab a monitor arm down the line and set it up that way. In addition to the 360 Hz Asus ROG Swift PG259QN, we’ve rounded up the Aorus FI25F, Asus TUF VG259QM, Pixio PX279 Prime and Samsung 32-inch Odyssey G7 (C32G75T). In the three Game modes, color saturation controls are available, but there are no gamma or grayscale adjustments.

The panel is the same as the Asus and the MSI, so if u dont' see ghosting, it's NOT 1ms, it's closer to 3-3. To view the purposes they believe they have legitimate interest for, or to object to this data processing use the vendor list link below. Most users won’t have to struggle with the Alienware AW2521H when upgrading since it still offers a familiar 1920 x 1080 resolution. With regards to the 1080p, I agree that it is not for me either, but some of the best gamers in the world still use 1080p higher refresh monitors with 240Hz+ and the reason for this is because they can play better with them than a higher res lower refresh monitor, as simple as that.It is forgivable that the company did not build these into the monitor, but it’s a chance to provide an upgraded set that’s good enough for gaming like what BenQ does with its EX monitors. Nothing screams expensive or premium – it’s a simple stand, a simple panel with minimal bezels, and plenty of adjustability. Game Enhance mode includes a frame counter, countdown timers and multi-screen alignment marks but no aiming points. Yeah, I remember when the first such monitors appeared, and reviewers like me said the same thing about them.

The usefulness diminishes as we go over 144Hz, but a blur remains, which this monitor supposedly reduces as much as possible. My AW2523HF sample arrived in a large clamshell-type box with Dell’s usual packing made from molded pulp. IPS, or In-Plane Switching panels, are the best in terms of color reproduction and viewing angles, and it’s a difference that’s extremely noticeable. Thanks to its high 360Hz refresh rate, the Dell Alienware AW2521H monitor delivers an incredibly low input lag of just below 2ms, which is imperceptible. The Alienware AW2521H also features a lot of connectivity options for your convenience, starting with its DisplayPort 1.

Acer has some really great monitors as part of their Predator series, but if you want the best possible gaming experience for competitive titles, it’s the Predator X25 you want to be looking at. Acer didn’t cut any corners here, which is why you’re looking at an IPS panel with excellent viewing angles and overall color reproduction. That means that if you don’t care about G-Sync, it’s actually better to do 240 Hz with ULMB than 360 Hz.Luckily, two of the USB ports and the headphone jack are under the panel edge in a more accessible position. A nice addition is the inclusion of Nvidia’s G-Sync because not a lot of PCs can hit 360Hz in all titles. You get both a decent size display and a good resolution to keep things sharp in-game, which is right where you want to be.

You also have to sacrifice resolution and screen size, which isn't ideal for more casual gamers with mixed preferences. The AW2521H also includes Nvidia’s Reflex performance analyzer that shows real time information on screen with input lag and frame rates and is said to help reduce input latency (for more see Nvidia Reflex tested). Take note that you need a very powerful processor as well at this resolution to get the most frames out of your GPU. The contrast ratio hits 1320:1 at 50% brightness which is excellent for an IPS panel and comparable to the other top picks out there. An extra bit of sRGB gamut volume means bright and vibrant color for photo editing or video watching.

That same monitor probably would not be possible on 1440p or would get crazy expensive as they have to string together processors to pump so many pixels out. Nvidia’s Reflex Latency Analyzer also makes an appearance, which measures system latency and helps you set things up for optimal gaming performance. I turned on the AW2523HF’s frame indicator to monitor rates and saw around 300 fps when playing Doom Eternal. In competitive gaming, every millisecond counts, so if you’re a serious/professional gamer, you’ll definitely want this piece of gaming machinery.
