The best way to beat this thing in the chalice dungeon that I have found is the bait the jump attack you can do this by standing right behind the tail and then as soon as it jumps prepare a charged R2 attack and smack the its brains out (literally) , most of the times it's head will be behind where the tail was so try that. It may provoke a visceral attack or 2 until you get het all the way down, but it's safer than having to melee it. Tried every strat under the sun in the chalice dungeon, died a million times, then I tried the go-behind-and-bait-the-jump trick, with the charged R2, and it was literally a one shot, only took damage trying to get away to repeat. The doll, recreated as a 1/6 scale statue, stands at the scene of "Hunter's Dream" serving the player character. I think I had an easier time with the Amygdala in Nightmare Frontier after I defeated the Wet Nurse, maybe because I was level 60 something and my hammer was +9.
