About this deal

Our testers get to grips with these lash curlers over the course of a month, evaluating how easy they are to use (noting whether or not there’s any discomfort or pinching during use), whether they feel the tools offer value for money and, ultimately, whether or not they lift and curl lashes. Just as the name promises, move them along the lash to the tip for a full lift and curve for under a tenner. The large plastic handles make the tool easy to control, while the wide silicone eye bed make delivering a soft curl easy.

Our only bugbear is its shape doesn’t work well with deep-set eyes (you’ll need to stick to the eyelash curler from Tweezerman if that’s the case). The easy-to-grip black handles don’t tempt you to over-squeeze and the white easy-to-clean cushions make sure you’re not bringing dirt to the delicate area. The silicone pad protects the lashes and the tool comes with a spare so you're covered for six months before needing to spend money on replacing it. The curler lifts and shapes your lashes, delivering an enviable curl with an impressive staying power – giving the illusion of wider eyes. Surratt Revelée has some excellent credentials to back it up - it's used on Kim Kardashian by her makeup artist (and founder of Makeup By Mario) Mario Dedivanovic.

These are mostly made from silicone or rubber and should be cleaned between use, as well as replaced every three to six months. Shaped to fit all eye shapes, with high-quality silicone cushions that you can easily place anywhere on the lashes from right at the root to the ends. The pad is made from silicone which makes it easy to clean and the curl holds all day after a single squeeze. Then, once locked in place with mascara, your lashes will hold their curl and lift for much longer and your eyes will appear much more 'wide awake' looking, which is the key thing really, isn't it? Even if you’re someone who prefers to live their daily life makeup-free, curled lashes are great for achieving a fanned-out, wide-awake look.Awakening your eye make-up in one quick move, they should be easy to use with no discomfort and maximum lash lifting results. The hypoallergenic silicone pads won’t cause irritation or stickiness, making these curlers a great option for those with sensitive eyes, too.

For extra longevity, give your curlers a blast with the hairdryer to warm them up (but only a little, you don't want to burn yourself) before using them.Simply power on, adjust to one of four gentle temperatures (from 65° to 95°), and after 10 seconds or so let your lashes fall into the wand’s grooves. We love the sleek matte black finish of this pair – it makes them feel far more expensive than they are.
