The charging cable for the parent unit isn’t very long, but it could still be used while charging if you are happy just to let the screen turn on when your baby makes a noise instead of wanting to check the picture regularly, as it might get annoying to do so if it’s not in arm’s reach. However, when I take it out with me on the balcony, the sound quality is good and I can hear my baby breathing as well as any other noises he makes very clearly. I’ve precariously balanced mine on the side of the cot, but it sometimes moves as my baby moved so this isn’t a solution.

There’s a selection of five lullabies that can be played to the baby – a nice idea, but they’re pretty flat-sounding so might not be much use for relaxing. Additionally, the monitor comes with a temperature display, which lets you monitor the temperature in your baby's nursery room and ensure that they have a comfortable sleeping environment.
