There were some interesting character insights and I enjoyed the read, but it didn't have quite the amount of detail to draw me in that I was hoping for. There is more to this story that needs to be told and there is a strong fan base that wants to have Carnival Row continue well after season 2.

On top of which it’s all over web where people are talking about this show and a friend of mine as well as one of my cousins only just heard about the show last month and loved it as soon as they watched it. The use of chemical warfare (Wolf's Curse), airships, the telegraph, and more modern military weapons all date back to these wars. In a fantasy world where humans and creatures clash, Season Two of Carnival Row picks up with former inspector Rycroft Philostrate investigating a series of gruesome murders stoking social tension. It's really not a novel, more a collection of short stories that illuminate various parts of the characters' backstories.Cara Delevingne as Vignette Stonemoss, a faerie (also known by their derogatory name of " Pix") and Philo's former lover who believed him to be dead following the war. Over the next year and a half, the cast and crew would be pulled in and out of finishing up the project, and then doing reshoots. It would also be fascinating to go back to the origins of the fae what with Tirnanoc finally being free from the Pact occupation. He talks to a vision of himself and refers to himself as "we," which might suggest that he's acknowledging another side of his personality.

The words "Svoboda Rovnost Laska" are seen on a sign in a factory in Carnival Row, Season 2, "An Unkindness of Raven," They are Czech and translate to "Freedom Equality Love. Stewart Scudamore as Boz Ghaidos, a well-connected cattle-horned "Puck" who manages an underground fighting ring. She must also choose between her boyfriend, Nathan, and Sam, who has yet to declare their love for Bernice but who is far swifter to her side when danger lurks than Nathan. This republic is led by a parliamentary-style government that meets in a shouty chamber full of Proctors, with clashes between its Chancellor, Absalom Breakspear (Jared Harris), and the leader of the opposition minority party, Ritter Longerbane (Ronan Vibert).Dupin pieces together insignificant details to find the murderer, who turns out to be an orangutan, and frees his friend.
