Everyone thinks I smell like chocolate cake, chocolate cookies, anything with chocolate I've been pleasantly accused of, and I have to tell them it's just a chocolate oil, much to their shock. However, all chocolate fragrances have one trait in common: They smell really great in cold weather. Choco Musk by Al-Rehab is as the name it says - milk chocolate with a great vanilla base and white musk on top. When this fragrance starts to dry down, it doesn’t really change too much anymore, leaving you with an overall warm and sweet fragrance. This is also the chocolate you can make at home on a cold evening, pouring the liquid into a big mug and then savoring it, relaxing after a busy yet dreary winter day. Durrat Al Arabia is chocolate with amber, and brings to mind the way it used to be savored in Spain a long time ago, when chocolate was a marvel from the New World, a precious and bitter potion that provokes carnal passion.A little while later, a dark and rich scent of chocolate makes itself known, quickly followed by a bunch of warm and spicy notes.

It never loses it's strength and for an oil it has better preformance than over 90% of other perfumes I've tested in the eau de parfum concentration. Shortly after the opening, some very soft undertones of fruity notes can be detected, adding a playful touch to the scent. The aroma is so close to the original (nearly identical, actually) that you feel its particular kind of bitterness on your tongue just from smelling it. The composition combines a rich flavour range of sweet shades, in which each note complements the other, not overloading it, but emphasizing it. It is not a pure, dark chocolate scent, but rather, a vanilla stirred through with cocoa powder, with the faint, under-the-skirts whiff of McVities Digestives.
