There has been some criticism that this book inaccurately represented Maggie’s condition, as well as some readers saying they were simply sick of reading about Ridge and Sydney, since this is the third book in which we meet them. Fair points, and it’s all a matter of opinion, but overall I liked these characters and felt this was a good way to tie up the series. The fact that he has feelings for me also isn’t wrong, when you know exactly how much he’s fought those feelings. Colleen Hoover’s writing has this beautifully gripping, compelling quality to it that draws you right into the lives of her characters.For those who loved the first book in this series and feel they’ll miss Ridge and Sydney, fear not, they’re here too. But, despite their best intentions, that connection between her and Ridge grew stronger and stronger even though they both fought it with everything they had.

From the first few lines, I was fully immersed in this story and stayed connected until the very last word. This was the first CH book I read and I don’t know if I can read any more of her books, because if they all tear me up like Maybe Someday did, I won’t survive! Every single time we refused to cave in to our feelings in the past makes this kiss completely worth the sacrifices. As she recovers in the hospital, Ridge attempts to convince Maggie to move in with him, but she refuses and asserts her need for independence. The way they communicated, and the way they made music together was… ha, I can’t even think of a more fitting word for it.Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover is the first book in a series of three books; however, it can be read as a stand alone because book two and book three are spinoffs that focus on other characters. I'm a reader of 100+ books per year, I studied English literature, and I've been on The Today Show'sRead with Jenna Book Club, Buzzfeed, The Atlantic, Esquire, Mashable, The Everygirl, Glamour, and more. She still stays true to herself and has a lot of the same traits that make her who she is, but she most definitely softens up a bit particularly toward the end of this book. The lyrics of their songs express their feelings for each other and their struggles with temptation.
