About this deal

It made me incredibly angry and I thought, presumptuously, that other women in my position must be hating it - that the author totally missed her target audience. I was worried I wouldn't remember what happened in the first one seeing as it has been over 2 years since I read it, but you're instantly thrown into it. One Good Thing was published in April and is her first novel set in the Yorkshire Dales where her parents lived. Nell lands up writing obituaries, she meets Cricket an 80 year old widow and they soon make friends and become close.

Todėl nors ir nesikankinau ir visai džiaugiuosi perskaičiusi, nes ir juokiausi, ir pritariamai linksėjau, turbūt būčiau tokia knyga labiau pasimėgavusi prieš kokius du-tris metus, kai nebuvau skaičiusi jos pradininkių.Synopsis (It's a fiction book, so it helps…from Netgalley, the provider of the book for me to review.

Nell is all set to marry Edward when she discovers she still has the chance to have a baby should she decide to, but after realising her and Edward are not on the same page she decides she needs to explore this option further and her and Edward go their separate ways. If I could put those things aside it would be a 5 star read for pure entertainment (and a few emotional tears). Yorkshire born and raised, Alexandra lives in London with her Californian husband and their Bosnian rescue dog. I had not heard of this author, and it was a 'stumble across' as I browsed an interstate catalogue (the perks of working in a library, and knowing where to look for the location of a book, Australia wide).Although based on Confessions the name has been changed to Not Dead Yet and the location moved from London to America. And if you ever need to be reminded that life isn't always Instagram-perfect, then this book is your go-to filter.

No old lady hair’ should have been included in our wedding vows as my husband has made me promise this on numerous occasions. I absolutely loved their friendship and it shows that you can make new friends when you get older and also friends don't really have to be the same age. I could sympathise with Nell’s lack of confidence and sheer dissatisfaction with the direction of her life. Alexandra’s novel, One Good Thing, is still one of my forever favourites, and I loved how different this book was to it, whilst still being every bit as wonderful and addictive. This book is a sequel to a book that I haven't read, however that didn't stop me from thoroughly enjoying this one. Here is a quick description and cover image of book Confessions of a Forty-Something F**k Up written by Alexandra Potter which was published in December 31, 2020. Pradėjau šį romaną gana gerai suvokdama, ko tikėtis – viršelis žada šiuolaikinę Bridžitą Džouns, pats pavadinimas imponuoja „netipinės“ moters gyvenimo istoriją su šlakeliu humoro. Which is why I’ve decided to stop beating myself up by desperately seeking happiness and give myself the permission to feel exactly how I feel, when I feel it. But I decided to give Confessions of a Forty Something the benefit of the doubt and I started to read the Prologue.
