He's never excelled at anything, but when confronted with the life-or-death situation at Crater Lake, and keeping his friends safe, he totally soars.

After reading Crater Lake with the kids at school I was dying to see what adventure the gang would go on next. It's five months since the nightmare Year Six School trip to Crater Lake, and something has gone very wrong in Lance's home town of Straybridge. The two main characters have been rivals for over a year but now they must work together if they are going to save their class mates. Crater Lake is a brand new activity centre where the Year 6 children from Montmorency School go for their residential trip.Not so confident that they aren't acknowledging the threat, but that they feel competent and you have faith in them. Enjoy a fabulousdinner while taking in the views of Crater Lake in the dining room at Crater Lake Lodge.

I used lots of those as inspiration for the scary (and sometimes disgusting) incidents that take place at Crater Lake.From quick bites to a nice sit-down dinner, the menus at Crater Lake National Park will not disappoint. Lance has to try and get the gang back together again, to work through their differences and save their families themselves. Each of the group is withholding information about themselves as they are embarrassed about what their friends will think of them. It was such a pleasure to meet you both, and I really appreciated how smoothly and professionally you ran everything. This was a griping read, I extended reading for pleasure time in class so I could get through an extra chapter.

But I keep watching them, and I keep reading them, because I love the thrill – the racing heart, the knuckle-biting tension, and the excitement of exploring my fears. Most of the Crater crew have fallen out with each other but he has a new friend in Karim and is still friends with Chets. It is a mystery that the reader is as invested in, intrigued (and worried) over as in whether the alien spores will succeed in destroying the world. CRATER LAKE EVOLUTION is also a book about the pressures put on friendships due to starting new schools, how new environments, different schools, and new people can influence people into changing and the toll that takes. And everything goes terribly wrong all the teacher turn into aliens and all the student get changed into aliens except a few who have to save the rest of the world.

She loves the story as its easy to follow on a timeliness of events and the characters are the same from the first one but with an extra person. This is one to move onto when you’ve read Crater Lake, but that really isn’t a hardship because as debut books go, it’s an absolute corker. I cpuldnt put it down as I wanted to know so much-Lance's secret, who locked Yrebt in the toilet, who would survive. The interactions between the characters adds some comic relief into the story, with some good jokes at the expense of some of the least likeable characters.
