I followed its sniff-a-licious scent to the BIGGEST building I've ever seen, and the smells coming from inside were the most dusty, moldy, oldy, dirt-lectable whiffs I've ever wrapped my snout around.Dog Diaries was one of the books that went under my radar when it was released last year, but the good news for me is that I received it as a Christmas present.

Junior provides fascinating and humorous insights into walks in the park, the perils of the vacuum cleaner, the worst word in the world and the best place to hide your snacks amongst plenty of other things.With realistic black-and-white illustrations by renowned illustrator Tim Jessel and a factual appendix, dog-loving early chapter book readers willbegfor more! Fans of the novel found this to be a fun read that will make readers get emotional (but there are some happy scenes in the book). I still do as an adult, but in comparison to the other books I enjoy now as an adult, it doesn't hit the 5 stars! With realistic black-and-white illustrations and an appendix including information about dalmatians, the Great Chicago Fire, and more, this is historical fiction for kids who don’t like historical fiction, and a perfect choice for supporting Common Core State Standards.
