I've not been unhappy with the daytime image provided by the DS-2CD2347G1-LU ColorVu, but it is a little different than that from the DS-2CD2347G2-LU ColorVu 2. Is the G2 any better than the G1 in day light, I have recently purchased the G1 and found it mediocre in the daylight but excellent in dark. This was OK via the web GUI, and OK after using the upc (don’t try this at home) command at the bootloader.
I have exactly the same firmware as you and I do have the enable audio under the advanced tab, so that is odd.

Am very happy with the images apart from the porch camera which is affected slightly by the close proximity of the porch light: It causes a slight purple haze, and darkens the image further out, even thought the light itself is not in direct view of the camera. It can be blocked inbound to the PC if the Windows firewall doesn't have an inbound rule, or isn't temporarily disabled.MBR stands for maximum bit rate allowing the bit rate to vary but only up to a maximum value, effectively VBR with a cap.

As such it needs to be low enough for use on the mobile network or the flakey WiFi in the pub ( definition: pub/boozer/public house - an establishment where one could relax, have a beer, socialise and watch the football - unavailable for safe use since early 2020). is good too, I wouldn't go any lower though as this is the lowest frame rate that we've found to give a smooth video so that nothing key is missed between frames (although it is the main stream that is most important for this anyway, as this is what is used in playback). So what I’ve done here is some sample snapshots from the 8MP DS-2CD2087G2-LU, the original 4MP IPC-T2347G-LU (DS-2CD2347G1-LU) and the 8MP IPC-T2385G-I (DS-2CD2385G-I). Will the mic work in this camera, ( DS-2CD2347G1-LU 4MP IP), connected via POE cable only or do I need to connect the audio interface as well?
