About this deal

These adapters come packed with every graphic card, motherboard and what not these days (VGA outputs are getting rare, most cards have one or two DVIs and then only HDMI/DisplayPort connectors). However, a male DVI-I cable will not fit in a female DVI-D connector due to its additional analog pins.

The team at Blue Cine Tech is here to make it easier for you to get the most out of your home entertainment. It allows a display device with a VGA connector (input) to receive an analog signal from a DVI-A (analog only) or DVI-I (analog and digital) connector attached to a computer's GPU (graphics processing unit). DVI can support higher resolutions, the image is usually clearer, it uses digital signals, and it supports higher refresh rates.

The dummy plugs are used to keep the inside of fiber optic SFP ports clean, dust-free, and undamaged.

However, this interface does not have enough throughput to handle uncompressed HD video, so it is unsuitable for applications such as video games and interactive program guides. If a depth greater than 24 bits per pixel is desired, the least significant bits are sent on the second link. DVI-A, DVI-D, DVI-I What are the differences between DVI-A, DVI-D, DVI-I

I'm a technology columnist and blogger with over 10 years of experience, currently serving as Blue Cine Tech's AV Editor. VGA, on the other hand, is a pretty dated connector and it’s only recommended when it’s the only option available. HDMI and DisplayPort connectors can support DVI-D video signals through an adapter, but DVI-D cannot support the additional features that HDMI and DisplayPort possess, such as integrated audio and CEC control. DVI-I connectors do not convert analog and digital signals but can accept digital or analog signals – just not both at the same time.It is a battery powered, portable compact unit that generates video test patterns for evaluating 4K HDMI displays/components. Do remember that only DVI-I supports both analog and digital, DVI-D only works with digital, so you’ll need an active adapter to convert that to another type of connector.
