About this deal

Gnarbox is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery and it is supposed to last 4-6 hours depending on how the unit is used. For example, you can plug in an external storage device, such as the Samsung T5 portable SSD into one of the USB-C ports, then once you insert your memory card, you can navigate to “Advanced” menu and select “MULTI”, which will allow you to back up the memory card into both internal and external storage. The LAMBOGO Rugged Wireless SSD is a storage solution for photo and video shooters with a few added tricks up its sleeve. Obviously, once the port doors are open, the unit is no longer protected, so I would discourage using the device with any external cables plugged into the unit, since water could still get through. Haven't tried any FTP servers/clients as of yet, I'd have to resort to that also to transfer to my computer, which would increase the hassle level again.

Peak Design's newest Camera Cubes allow you to turn any pack or bag into a camera-carrying accessory. Second, when using the app, if the screen of my iPhone timed out while I was editing an image or a video clip, the software forced me to go back to the card and reopen the image or video before I could edit it again. There are a lot of photo/video cameras that have found a role as B-cameras on professional film productions or even A-cameras for amateur and independent productions.

Oh no you dont, not by a long way, paddle found the comment about people not understanding what the product was as condescending and smacking of arrogance, then Paul started going on about the guys past comments and provoking others to wade in including us.

When using the unit for an extended period of time, you will notice that this area is going to get pretty warm. It has been over a year since I reviewed the original Gnarbox and criticized it for its sub-par performance and overall reliability. Much faster, replaceable battery, redesigned heatsink, higher capacities, one-touch backup without using your mobile device, improved apps… of course its all just promises now but the Gnarbox 2. Thanks to that hard-wired connection, it’s photographer Ted Forbes’s drive of choice for mobile video and photo editing. If you want a bag that doesn't look like a camera bag or prefer to make your own DIY solutions, they're worth a look.I wanted to test the Gnarbox in two scenarios: when backing up to the Gnarbox internal storage (which is quite limited, especially on a 128 GB model) and when backing up images to an external hard drive. obviously the GNARBOX was meant for in-field use, and a solution like I've mentioned would be more for backing up when you get back home o I had a chance to use the Gnarbox for a few weeks and I have some both positive and negative feedback to share on it. Once you hold the right button for a little, the Gnarbox will start booting up with a large “GNARBOX” logo on the screen. And that’s what it really is – the Gnarbox is designed to be used not only as a dumb storage backup device like most of its competitors, but also something you can use to preview RAW images and transcode videos.
