Grumpycorn and his friends are adorable and most kids can relate to how tough it can be to generate ideas for their writing in school! On Sunday 1 January, he reads The Moon Keeper written and illustrated by Zosienka about friendship, the phases of the moon and how it’s ok that in life, things come and go. The first Grumpycorn book came about when I had a picture book due as soon as I got back from holiday!

Doing this will help establish stronger relationships in the classroom among students, their peers, and the teacher. She loves creating books and comics with friends and getting inspired by batting around ideas and drawings with them. Many of you will know what it’s like when you are making or organising something, and then other people come along and don’t do things exactly the way you’d want them to. As someone who loves picture books, very much, and always gives them a 4-5 star rating, I am disappointed that this book didn't reach the level of expectation I had.

When I do book events, I run around in big floofy frocks and mad hats and people don’t always take me very seriously. I get grumpy when I’m right in the middle of a terrific story (whether it be reading a book or watching a film), or making a drawing that I like, and I have to go do something else. I was so happy when I learned that Sarah McIntyre would be having a brand-new picture book, this time about a unicorn, no, a grumpycorn!
