It was fantastic to once again get the inside track on the next big thing in rum as well as try some hidden gems and world exclusives alongside our friends and rum family. This year was the biggest spirits judging in IWSC history, so for Eminence to be placed alongside internationally reclaimed single estate rums was incredibly humbling indeed.

The month finished with our founder Philip being invited to speak alongside Peter Holland of Boutiquey Rum and Doug Miller of Scratch Rum on The Rum Show to discuss what they believe will be the future of British Rum. The reigning champion with their Eminence Blended Aged White Rum, Egremont and Resolute were also both finalists in the 2021 competition. Since our conception in 2017, Hattiers Rum has existed as a benchmark of where we believe great rum should be, all while being uncompromising in our mission to use business as a force for good – being plastic-free from day one, becoming the first UK B Corp certified rum, a member of 1% For the Planet and Ecologi, and planting our own woodland as part of our steps towards Net Zero…but we’re not stopping there.Since launch, both rums have been hugely popular and have turned heads in the rum industry, with Hattiers Rum once again gaining globally respected awards and recognition for producing blends that comfortably sit beside some of the finest single-estate rums from around the world. As if the events of the year weren't already enough, we started December with the first of many collaborations with Emma Bridgewater, shortly followed by our launch at Daylesford Organic, just in time for Christmas. Egremont Premium Reserve Rum- an award winning warm and fragrant blend of four rums hand-picked from across the Caribbean and Central America, perfect for cocktails, mixing or sipping neat on the rocks.

This year's Rum Fest also coincided with what used to be London Cocktail Week, now London Cocktail MONTH.

Furthermore, it marked the first full day in office of the new Lord Mayor, Vincent Keaveny, himself a Liveryman of Distillers Company. It's great to see our new Hattiers Rum tour being picked by Food Mag as one of the top 5 drink experiences in the South West along with Origin Coffee, Salcombe Distilling Company, Langham Wine Estate, and Kask Bristol.
