About this deal

But Alice doesn't listen and offers the stranger a place to sleep for a few nights, given she learns he has no memory of who he is or where he comes from. Prone to bad decision making, Alice sees a man sitting on the beach near her house for hours on end and decides to check on him. She has a big heart which has led her to some questionable decisions in her life, but Alice means well and is such a loving and caring person, even if she is a little scatterbrained.

In WATCHING YOU, readers follow a cast of deeply suspicious and intriguing individuals whose paths cross in a high-end neighborhood in Bristol, England—and puzzling out the intricacies of their connections to one another will keep readers wholly entertained. Luckily for me, I had the perfect book for the job waiting on my to-read pile: Catherine Steadman’s brand-new release, THE FAMILY GAME.After fleeing London thirty years ago in the wake of a horrific tragedy, Lucy Lamb is finally coming home. Will they finally uncover what truly happened years ago during that Easter weekend that changed everything? He could be dangerous, and yet, Alice invites him to stay with her, her children and her crazy herd of animals. In Lisa Jewell’s latest “bone-chilling suspense” (People ), no one is who they seem—and everyone has something to hide.

And lastly, the tragic trouble that Gray and Kirsty find themselves in is the direct result of their parents making horribly bad decisions and not protecting them.I Found You is filled with suspense, so much so that I developed a sense of dread while I was reading, as I knew something bad was going to happen.

She has only known her husband and been living in England for a few weeks before her husband mysteriously disappears. Only then does Alix discover that Josie has left a terrible and terrifying legacy in her wake, and that Alix has become the subject of her own true crime podcast, with her life and her family’s lives under mortal threat. Her novels have sold over10 million copiesinternationally, and her work has also been translated into twenty-nine languages. Each one stops exactly at the point where you are about to get answers, and then you change characters. Playful and irreverent, spine-tingling and spooky, The September House puts a fresh spin on the classic haunted house story, delivering an immersive tale about the secrets lurking within one building’s walls, and within the lives of its inhabitants. I have to admit there was a HUGE part of me that felt completely disconnected from this story and what I’m deeming a strange cast of characters. Plus, Alice's two older children even tell her that they are uncomfortable with the man living there and want him gone, and she STILL continues to allow him to stay. Tom Fitzwilliam is a teacher at a local school, a mysterious and enigmatic man whose sterling-silver reputation hides a past that seems to be one big question mark.

The suggested questions are intended to help your reading group find new and interesting angles and topics for your discussion. An intoxicating, spellbinding read that will make readers entranced with Lisa Jewell’s wicked and gorgeous prose…raw, intense, gritty, dark and suspenseful. It was really nice to read a mystery novel that has some happiness to it after a very sad story overall. Quickly paced yet delicately nuanced, this novel is sure to appeal to fans of Big Little Lies and The Woman in Cabin 10. I found the characters to be well developed and I was surprised by how emotional the ending made me.
