I loved the ending and was willing Becca to make the right decision and I even shed a few tears towards the end as I was so invested in her making the right choice.Becca is a hairstylist in her own salon in her mid thirties and she’s finally ready to settle down and find Mr Right. I loved seeing the different timelines and the differences and similarities between them both - plus the nods to either like the authors book appearing in the opposite timeline.

Laura Jane Williams has a magic touch when it comes to writing characters that feel like real people. It was very interesting to see both the what ifs play out - it really got me thinking about fate and whether everything happens for a reason. I love Laura’s writing and this felt more confident and assured than her previous books and reminded me of Lindsey Kelk with the humorous elements woven in beautifully.She has been thrust into a situation that she doesn’t understand but must confront nevertheless; I was so eager for her to make it out unscathed! It’s reminiscent of Sliding Doors — two choices and two timelines — but it’s all it’s own story, and it’s a pretty clever one at that.

The characters in this novel bring life and heart to this story, each with a distinct voice and personality. With thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an arc of this novel in exchange for an honest review. The tension, as it builds in both storylines, is palpable, and oh, I couldn't wait to see how the end panned out in both versions. Lovestruck is the first Laura Jane Williams book I’ve read, and I’m now looking forward to reading more of her back catalogue. The characters are sensitively portrayed, as is their recovery, and the hopeful ending is realistic.I was ready to burn the world to the ground start all over again, but this time playing by my own rules and not society’s, when I finished Untamed by Glennon Doyle. All the secondary characters were great too, like Betty, Becca’s Mum and Dad, Dave…they really brought the book to life and gave it the warmth that it exuded. At once hilarious, irreverent, and downright inspiring, Kidding shows you how to connect with your inner child to make your mundane, complicated adult life much simpler (and happier). Without these cookies, we won't know if you have any performance-related issues that we may be able to address. I’ll be honest, it did take me until halfway through the book to realise each chapter worked in this way but I’m not sure if that can be blamed on the author or my tired mind!

I couldn’t figure out who I should root for in this one for a while because both options seemed good for Becca. A great cast of characters make up this book - Becca and her two ride or dies - Jia Li and Carlos have the BEST of relationships and I loved the scenes where all three of them were together. A gripping thriller that has me racing through the pages, like Imperfect Women by Araminta Hall or The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley, lets me forget my own world and sometimes that is a gift.

I really enjoyed this one, there’s just something about this author that draws me in and makes me all cozy while I read their books. I wasn’t sure on this at first, but when I began to see where it was going, I ended up really enjoying it! Lovestruck is a Sliding Doors-esque story following two different paths that Becca’s love life can take…. Or perhaps it's reminder from the universe that Becca will never move forward if she keeps looking back.
