Join our Yoda of Brick Film, Kamil, for another masterclass where he will show you how to recreate blaster shots with transparent LEGO bricks, plastic wrap, a bit of cardboard and a flashlight! The brick brings so much versatility into achieving certain builds and is used a few times in different days. In summary, I think this has been one of the weakest Star Wars Advent Calendars ever, and it looks even worse when you compare it side by side with the Marvel Advent Calendar, which has been consistently awesome day after day. I love this Lego Advent-Jays blog tradition so thanks for keeping it up and look forward to coming back next year!

As the big day approaches, kids can mix up the gifts to create endless imaginative Super Hero adventures. I look forward to reading next years but I certainly will not be building I refuse to line Legos pockets again with such a poor advent calendar. Display your creation on the brick-built stand with a nameplate to complete a wonderful centrepiece that will spark memories of classic Star Wars: The Clone Wars scenes for any fan. X-Wings have been a staple of Advent Calendars, and this one doesn’t deviate far from the established design, with it looking very similar to 2020’s X-Wing, except with more white elements than grey. Recreate the iconic details in LEGO® style and display the X-wing with its wings in flight or attack mode on the stand.
This calendar features the first ever minifigure of Aberforth Dumbledore, plus five more familiar characters. I feel like I have somehow caused this… when in 2019, which as a Weapons Racks-less Advent Calendar, I did wish for a Weapons Rack… but this feels like a load of coal. They could also have done a female trooper if they wanted, but really would have been nice to get a named minifig that we don’t already have since nothing else was really unique. The TIE Fighter’s design is hard to improve on at this scale, so there’s nothing really notable about the TIE’s design, and not a lot of innovation can be found here, but Star Wars fans like the comfort of anything from the Original Trilogy, so this inclusion makes sense.
