About this deal

I have always been a fan of the tom sounds on Bryan Adams' early records and I think that this may have included muffling in the form of the E-ring, precursor - cut the outer edge off of an old drumhead and tape it to the head. It removes easily and doesn't leave a sticky residue behind, nor does it stain drum heads like Moongels do. Next up, you’ll want to pour some dish soap into your hands, find your Moongel drum pads, grab ’em, and put them under the hottest water your hands are able to handle. Now that you know where can you apply Moongel pads, let’s see how can one wash them (if they’re washable in the first place).

Some dampening is good for recording, or even using mics sometimes in live situations, or just depending on the type of room especially if you have larger drums ( I have 16 and 18 inch floor toms which I only ever dampen those 2 drums when I do). I've had to put as many as 3 gels on my floor tom to get it under control (brick wall behind me and beside me, concrete under my drum rug). In the article you’re about to read, we’ll, among other things, tell you just where you apply Moongel and exactly how will you do it!You can then choose which finance term you'd like to apply for, and change your deposit if you wish. Once you’re done, your Moongel drum pads will look similar to the way they looked back when you bought them. Moongel will kill resonance on any drum that you put it on and allows you to get rid of nasty top-end frequencies that can destroy a recording mix or muddy up a live sound. A fault is defined as a defect that you would not normally expect to occur through normal wear and tear and that has not been caused by improper use.

Anyway, you can try out the following strategy: put 1/4 of a pad along the edge of your cymbal (ideally: a medium ride cymbal) and see what happens. I have something similar to below (not the same) and gives instant access to a muffled or open tone which I just have for a snare in mid performance. Also, here’s another thing: when using Moongel pads on your cymbals, the further your place them away from the center, the more effective they’ll be at reducing the sustain. The problem with this stuff isn't lastage, its losing them and for that matter the cheap window gels are a viable alternative.Let’s continue to define this wonderful piece of drumming equipment by pointing out why drummers use it!
