About this deal
If you want something sturdier than a handheld spiralizer but don’t want to splash out on anything too complex before you’re certain you’ll use it, this cheap and cheerful option from Salter is ideal. What really makes the Spiralizer Express great, though, is its recipes, helping it to become more than just a one-trick pony. It also comes with a super safe storage container for all those blades, as well as a sealable catch container for fridge storage.
Most spiralizer blades can be rinsed under the tap, but sometimes they will require a bit more graft, especially with softer vegetables like courgettes and cucumbers.
It is easy to clean, but isn’t the most compact and requires that little bit more space for storage. It comes with five blades of varying thickness, including the all-important julienne shape and your classic thicker noodle.
Morphy Richards claims its model is the first of its kind, though Kenwood actually got in earlier with its in June, and stole a march. The spirals from the whole apple were significantly longer and more consistent, with those from the half apple pieces tending to be short and scrappy. The handy little device measures just 8x8x9 cm, weighs 150g and is made from BPA-free plastic and stainless steel.
