About this deal

The TV series has only been released on DVD in the UK, whereas later North American releases were bundled with Blu-ray discs.

These releases split the series differently to the Seasons and skip some episodes that weren't directly based on manga chapters.

Episode of Alabasta: The Pirates and the Princess of the Desert ( The Desert Princess and the Pirates: Adventures in Alabasta). While the release of movies not licensed in America was appreciated, the Movie Collection DVDs themselves were considered disappointing. Collections 1-13 use the PAL masters created by Madman, [4] whereas Collection Fourteen onward are identical to the NTSC discs released in America, even referring to the US "Voyage" releases in the menus. The TV series has been released by Avex Group, the first nine movies were released by Toei Video and Movies 10 onward have been released by Pony Canyon. This is the first English Dubbed material released by Funimation involving the post timeskip Straw Hats.

Like the American releases, the uncut version and Funimation dub were considered a more effective approach to the series than 4Kids' edited version as aired on TV. Further episodes were presented uncropped in their retail release, but in 4:3 on the rental version; this caused the misconception among international fans that all Japanese DVD copies of the episodes were in 4:3 after rental DVD copies were circulated online. With Britian's first release of the series, several reviewers noted the high fan demand for an uncut DVD version following its American release six years earlier and the relative value of starting with the Collection sets. The TV series is divided into "Seasons" for home video and initially released as single disc "Pieces" containing 2-5 episodes; the first DVD was released on February 21, 2001 and contained four episodes. The UK release of the One Piece TV series is identical in content to the American equivalents, including the logo and credit alterations. The first 206 episodes were originally produced in 4:3 "Fullscreen" and episodes 207 onward were produced in 16:9 "widescreen", however some releases crop episodes from their original aspect ratio. The Adventure Of Dead End · The Cursed Holy Sword · Baron Omatsuri and The Secret Island · Take Aim! The Pieces were released simultaneously on VHS and DVD during the first three seasons, [1] and rental VHS versions continued to be released until the end of season eight.

In the United Kingdom and Ireland, the One Piece anime is released on DVD and Blu-ray by Crunchyroll Limited.sexual harassment, moderate sex references, moderate violence, language, bloody images (588-591, 593, 598, 599, 607, 610-614). Some episodes, such as movie tie-ins and the Boss Luffy Historical Special episodes, are released as special episodes outside of the Seasons, though the episode numbering remains unchanged. Some reviews criticized the earlier DVDs' video quality for including noticeable compression artifacts such as macroblocking, although these problems were noted to be less apparent in later volumes, particularly once the DVDs started using HD masters. Eternal Log" Blu-ray releases began in January 2021, with each release containing upwards of sixty episodes in Standard Definition (even for episodes produced in HD); [4] due to the higher capacity of Blu-ray discs compared to DVDs, and the relativity low resolution of the video compared to an HD encode, the Eternal Logs include significantly more episode per disc than other releases. The audio and translation issues were carried over to the Blu-ray release of Movie 8, [41] but did not affect movies 10 and 12.
