About this deal

RAC900 Professional High Power Air Compressor is up to three minutes faster than a standard compressor.

Ring RAC900 - Practical Caravan

The RAC 900 is a 30Amp machine, hence if on full load is 3 times over a "ciggy lighter's" rating as cyberyacht points out. We also liked tyre compressors with easy-to-read gauges, and digital gauges seemed to fare particularly well. The RAC-900 took 42 seconds to inflate the tyre from 50psi (48psi on the pumps's gauge) to 60psi (60psi on the pump's gauge). However if you find yourself in the middle of nowhere with a completely flat tyre and you hope you have a slow puncture and you want to drive it to a nearby garage, then turn the engine on. Ring Automotive claims 90 seconds is all the RAC900 needs to inflate a flat car tyre (13-inch to 35psi), which is impressive. Thanks to its preset function, you can enter your desired pressure and it will inflate your tyre on its own.

Car Tyre Inflators | Ring

With high maximum pressure of 100 PSI and an integrated LED lamp with three settings, this portable tyre inflator is a good choice for keeping in your car for regular maintenance and in the event of any emergencies. Good features included long air hoses and power leads, which make positioning the compressor much easier – cordless devices were even better. I can’t see any persuasive reason not to carry the pump in the motorhome because, if I needed to use the pump when travelling, it would not be to make minor adjustments to tyre pressures and - as I don’t have/carry bicycles - a bike track-pump would have no obvious value for me. Ideal for any car, it also comes with two air hose adaptors for your inflatable accessories, even for bicycle tyres. The RAC900 features anti-vibration rubber mounted feet for stable placement when inflating a tyre, thermal overload protection, waterproof on/off switch so it can be used in all weather conditions and inline fuse to protect vehicle electronics. If you need air at the side of the road either drive to a garage if its just low or change the wheel. To use it with a car the bonnet must be open and the battery cover removed to expose the battery terminals. In addition, some people chose to over-inflate their caravan’s tyres when their van isn’t being used to, in theory, prevent flat-spotting, meaning the tyres will need to be deflated before hitting the road.
