And in this world, as they are all “the elite”, arranged marriages are common and Blake is already promised to another and so is our mmc.

At the end of the book, Colton said he was going to tell their parents about them as a couple and we don't get their response to it.Instead of yelling or begging—for I don’t know what—I exit the kitchen and head up to my room, needing to get away from them.

They even had a scene where Ryat from the Ritual was introduced to the guys and before you even blinked he was gone. It’s funny how one day all can be normal in your life, and then the next, the rug is ripped away, and you’re left fumbling, trying to regain your footing.Colt sets down the fork and keeps his eyes on me when he asks his friends, “Boys, what’s the first thing you do when you wake up with a woman in your bed? I should have read this before reading The Ritual and The Sinner but I dont think it really matters. She is straight up crazy, but I loved the vehicle that she becomes for the theme and the fighter she becomes. I didn’t expect the writing in the story to be this juvenile and out of place with short sentences that made me want to dnf.

Despite all of THIS I found it really hard to stay engaged…In the actual plot…When we got back to it.If you loved the Ritual and you like filthy stories that lean heavily on steam for chemistry and play on lots of triggers, you’ll love this. The hate and lust, I wanted to read how it started and that journey to the moment they become obsessed with each other, that no matter what Raylee always came back to Colt for more and vice verse.
