The machine then runs through its set-up sequence, filling the boiler with water and expelling it once to clean out any manufacturing impurities. This machine makes great coffee but I would not recommend it for any milk based coffee – which is its main use. The milk rather blocks every few cups which then involves removing it to clean it and use the supplied pin to clear the holes.

It offers eight different beverage selections that include black coffee (Espresso, Risstretto and Lungo) and milk-based recipes (Cafe Latte, Cappuccino, Flat White, and Macchiato), and it provides quite a bit of versatility in terms of adjusting settings such as milk texture, milk temperature and coffee volume to suit your personal preference. You can control how much water you want in your espresso in the Pro model, making it an excellent choice if you like variety in your espressos.

Types of coffee, such as long blacks, which add water to espresso, can be made on the Creatista Pro. When finished, simply pour the hot, frothy milk from the jug into your coffee cup and, well, that’s it. I have had a Nespresso Creatista Plus for almost 2 years and have not experienced any of the problems mentioned above. There are dozens of coffee capsule machines on the market, and although I’m sure each one has its own merits, it’s rare to find a coffee maker that combines ease of use, elegant design and reliable performance all into one machine. If the steam wand ever had to get clogged up, the Nespresso Creatista machines come with an unblocking tool to dismantle and manually clean the steam wand. Although the Nespresso Creatista Uno is an entry-level model in the Creatista line, it’s still a premium Nespresso machine. The Sage Creatista Pro is, to all intents and purposes, just another Nespresso machine, albeit one that’s been ramped up to the highest level of ostentatiousness.
