There’s no room for disturbing horrors of WW2, which is what Rebellion nailed when making a fun-first game. Simply put it, Sniper Elite 4 just executes a strategic action game without overthinking (and that’s a good thing). In fact, making a big bunch of noise here – something we were once so terrified of doing in these games – is a tactic we started to use to our advantage, drawing the enemy into our pre-planned death mazes of tripwires and traps, giving them a little tease with some automatic fire before going ghost again to mop up the scene from long-range.

This good for measure update even sheds a few more seconds for loading times, which are worth a mention. This significantly gives the Switch more than enough room to focus on smooth movements and running a seamless open world. It gives you the freedom to finish the missions your own way, whether you want to go Rambo or go Solid Snake, or whether you want to utilize the numerous tools available or not. It's very good at what it does, but I wish there was more substance to the game, unfortunately it gets repetitive, so despite being short, I didn't really wish for more levels after finishing the campaign and DLC. These Sniper Elite games aren't for me but I hope they are successful as a reward to Rebellion for putting the effort in.
