About this deal

We think this would be a great for comparing the different colours, shapes, sizes and other characteristics of a range of dinosaurs. Talk about the advantages of cotton bags over plastic bags (they are much more sturdy, and if cotton fabric is thrown away it doesn’t harm wildlife in the same way). Uma mensagem importante a passar aos mais novos e que, feita com um livro tão bonito quanto este, ajuda a que a mensagem seja mais compreendida pelas crianças.

We have differentiated this resource six ways duo you can choose which best suits your Year 1 kids and Year 2 kids. This is a brilliant book for teaching KS1 children about the problems of plastic pollution in a very accessible way. This story touches on sustainability and educates about the damage of a single plastic bag for wildlife and the natural environment. This book uses clear, attractive illustrations to show us all of the different places we can find it in the natural and man-made world.

Ocean Animals confuse Stanley for jellyfish and find themselves coughing and choking while trying to swallow him. This is a bright and colourful book with ten easy things every child (and adult) can do in your setting or at home to ensure we have a more sustainable future.

We like the way the book shows the different heat sources that can cause melting (hot chocolate, a bath, standing near a fire), but how this never ends in disaster as the snowman can be built up again with fresh snow. We like the way this book introduces the ways that habitats around the world differ from each other. Stanley is swallowed by lots of different animals and (although it is a bit repetitive) is fun to read but has a serious note at the end when one of the animals almost chokes. We send out newsletters infrequently, you can opt out at any time, and we won’t pass your details on to anyone else.

It’s a good way to show children that animals need to find their own food to survive, and some of this can come from trees they might see in their own environments. With so many thoughtful books to choose from, it’s never been easier to introduce tricky topics with care and sensitivity. For water related activities, see our looking through water STEM at home activity and our floating flowers activity. The book is 28 pages long with no more than four to five lines of text per page and uses simple yet effective illustrations to promote questions and discussion. The book provides a great opportunity for predicting what will happen when the egg leaps from the tall tower, and chance to discuss the difference between flying and falling. We wanted a storybook about robotic space missions and it didn’t exist – so Carol from NUSTEM wrote this one. Two mice are perfectly balanced on a see-saw, but what happens when a chameleon wants to join in with their game?
