We like the way the book shows the different heat sources that can cause melting (hot chocolate, a bath, standing near a fire), but how this never ends in disaster as the snowman can be built up again with fresh snow. Stanley is swallowed by lots of different animals and (although it is a bit repetitive) is fun to read but has a serious note at the end when one of the animals almost chokes.
