Before I started on the project I decided to use a very organic, watercolor-like, digital painting style.

Superman: Year One, an oversized three issue limited series from DC is a new exploration of the Man of Steel’s origin story from Frank Miller and John Romita, Jr. The Batman: White Knight Saga — The original series was retroactively placed under the Black Label imprint with all subsequent installments being released under it. Of course, I’m a moron for adding all the backgrounds that way, I tend to do that to myself, but I loved everything about the large format after I started. Overall, I was really surprised not only by how much I enjoyed Year One, but also by the fact that I left wanting more.While tenacious about her goals of growing up to fight crime, her father’s - Commissioner Gordon - refusal prompts her into rebellion which eventually leads to unexpectedly saving his and Bruce Wayne’s lives.

It's also never explained why these adults and teachers are scared of these bullies tormenting Clark and his friends. He takes her to Arkham Asylum, where Superman, Wonder Woman and Cyborg have also arrived to relocate the inmates to parts unknown.We’ve worked together in the past, and we came up in the industry together at the same time, working from plots. This is in line with DC editorial's stated goals to make their overall output more family-friendly and more aligned with the "franchise brand" in 2021.
