About this deal
The combo of post-apocalyptic fiction and self-improvement via running doesn't sound like my thing, I probably would have put it down at the first go to. I was gripped and thoroughly rooting for our hero all the way through, although it did waver off in one or two spots which I found a little off putting towards the final third. Still, a little red warning light flashed in my mind and gave me an uncomfortable feeling in my gut. Adrian Walker breaks your heart in unexpected ways, and leaves you with a sense of stories still to be told.

Our resources are crucial for knowledge lovers everywhere—so if you find all these bits and bytes useful, please pitch in.I found myself shaking my head multiple times at the self-absorbed whining Edgar uses to explain his behavior in the first 2/3 of this book. However, I think he was the most realistic character because many of us will find faults in everything, even after the end of the world. I’m fairly sure these two small, windowless symbols of domesticity—airy female bliss for Beth, dark male seclusion for me—were the real reasons we bought the house. A vivid, gripping story of hope, long-distance running and how we break the limits of our own endurance, just lung-burstingly good". We might not learn much about their backgrounds but the past doesn’t much matter when the end of the world comes knocking.

I no longer have a linkup for book reviews, but if you've posted one on your blog or social media account, let me know so I can add it to this post! Over five hundred miles of devastated wastelands stretch between him and his family, and every second counts. Ed and his cronies outwit feral street gangs of Rabbits, a murderous single mum and some very unpleasant pig farmers as well as the horror that is now Manchester in a race against time to make the last boat to safety. Ich las neulich in einer Buchbesprechung, dass jemand den Autoren bereits mit einem Stern dafür belohnt, dass der das Buch schrieb. It’s made more noticeable though by the fact all the human threats they face come from either the working class or country folk.
