Romance is nice, but I want to be with the one person where if something happens to me—funny, awful, wonderful—I’m dying to tell them. Because as they pretend to be a couple, they struggle to remember why dating for real was a bad idea to begin with . I cackled and snorted (much to the presumed discomfort of the man seated beside me on the plane) and delighted in the cringe-filled (see umbrella stand) race to the happy ending. It was also easy to read and get into since it flowed nicely, the plot was engaging, and the page count wasn’t overly long.Honestly, this book was so much fun and I can’t believe it took me this long to finally pick Lynn Painter.

The chemistry between Hallie and Jack was evident from the very beginning, but I loved their friendship even more.
