Don't get me wrong, I really like the directions that Animated and ROTF took their Soundwaves, which were each different aspects of the same idea, both remaining very faithful to the character.

I'm intrigued by the new Stunticons coming and wonder if it's just a "one-off," because the one Combiner Wars set that was the worst was that Stunticon set, and Hasbro just want to do right by redoing Menasor, or if we'll be getting a whole redo on all the combiners, too. My recommendation is to give the mold a chance, it's legitimately my second favorite WFC mold behind siege Starscream because of just how good the robot mode is. I took the idea of Soundwave's voice and function and developed his personality to follow suit, whereas most previous incarnations have just made his personality "really loyal to Megatron".
