If you do require precise ingredients or nutritional information you should consult the manufacturer, whose contact details will appear on the packaging or label. Our purpose is to unlock the power of food to enhance the quality of life for everyone, today and for generations to come.

These are apparently popular in other parts of the word so maybe not as weird as they may seem to us Brits. Aside from the original milk chocolate bar, several variants are available, including a "raisin and biscuit" flavour, "honeycomb" flavour, and Yorkie Ice Cream. I think flies would even turn their nose up at this thing, which looked like rotten infested seaweed.

Unfortunately back then Nestlé still used sexist advertising and the slogan was "Too cool for girls". Michael Kehoe added: “As a limited edition, it won’t be around for long, so get your hands on a bar while you can! Yorkie's used to be decent chocolate bars when I was a kid and had a distinctive taste all of their own, but now they've lost that and just taste boring. One of these campaigns provoked 97 complaints to the Advertising Standards Agency on grounds of sexism in its first year, but the ASA eventually ruled that these complaints were not justified.

However, an associated promotional campaign in which free sample bars were handed out exclusively to men was banned by Liverpool's and Birmingham's councils. Turns out that packaging was very misleading because nothing could prepare me for the horror that was lurking inside. Another prominent ad from this period was a billboard at York railway station with the words "Welcome to" and a picture of a half unwrapped Yorkie bar.The image and product information have been prepared for illustration and information purposes only and may differ from that shown.

Their only selling point these days is the chunky-shaped blocks and even those are thinner than they used to be. By co-incidence, I purchased these Yorkie's on the same day as the new Galaxy Honeycomb Crisp, so it was interesting to compare two different types of honeycomb chocolate bars. In 2006, a pink-wrapped special edition was released as an ironic play on the "not for girls" branding, with this edition marketed towards women. Made using the same chocolate as the original Yorkie® bar but with a delicious honeycomb flavour twist.A great alternative for Yorkie® fans who want a wonderfully chunky bar with something a little different. The difference was huge - Yorkie Honeycomb is like the peasant of honeycomb chocolate bars compared to the king that is Galaxy Honeycomb Crisp. From the bar's launch until 1992, the "Yorkie bar trucker" was the famous "rough, tough star" of the brand's television adverts. The honeycomb pieces just tasted like crunchy bits of sugar, being very sweet but with no discernible honeycomb or butterscotch flavour whatsoever.

Open the packet to find solid chunks of smooth honeycomb flavour milk chocolate and real crunchy pieces of sweet honeycomb, it's a tasty twist on the classic chunky Yorkie® shape that you love! I've been collecting chocolates/wrappers for the past 2 years and I've never seen or heard of this 'Blue Ice' yorkie. We want to help shape a better and healthier world, a sustainable world, for people, families and pets, for our communities and for the planet. Michael Kehoe, Brand Executive for Nestlé Confectionery said: “ Yorkie fans are a passionate bunch, especially when it comes to honeycomb! It may not be reproduced in any way whatsoever without Bestway Wholesale' prior consent, nor without due acknowledgement.More recently, in an effort to reduce costs, the number of chunks has been reduced to five with "Yorkie" moulded into each chunk. rights and specific trade dress owned by Nestlé; rights elsewhere owned by Associated British Foods. NA rights and specific trade dress to all packaged coffee and other products under the Starbucks brand owned by Nestlé since 2019. In 1976, Eric Nicoli of Rowntree's spotted a gap in the confectionery market for a "manly" chocolate bar, and so the company launched Yorkie as a chunkier competitor to Cadbury's Dairy Milk. Enjoying chocolate as part of a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle, is one of life's little pleasures.
