Rather than being held accountable for their actions they are made to seem as if they are the wronged ones.This is a beautifully written novel from Burton, the characterisations are wonderfully vibrant in a immersive narrative and there is a great sense of the differing locations of LA and London. years later, Rose is at a crossroads – unsure whether to stay with her boyfriend, what to do about her career, and whether she wants children. When she overhears a conversation at a party that turns everything on its head, Elise makes an impulsive decision that will change her life forever.
