This is due to her hypoglycemia, which is a condition when there are low levels of glucose or sugar in a person's bloodstream.

We are shown nothing to hint that Adagaki would choose MC over Double-kun other than Double-kun saying he doesn't see Adagaki's past as important, which she disagrees with strongly. In that scene, her past is revealed to have a very important bearing in her sense of self. In the whole manga, only that scene was a source of conflict between Double-kun and Adagaki.

I’m just baffled at how completely pointless Masamune-kun’s Revenge is. Really, all it needed to do was set up this grand revenge, but instead it insisted on taking this weird detour so that it could evolve the romance. Give me a break. I didn’t want to see that in the first place. Not just because I’m expecting a revenge plot, but also because I don’t like these two characters, and seeing them form a relationship isn’t satisfying. In fact, Adagaki Aki is meant to be unlikable, so why would I want the main character to date her? She’s supposed to be the villain, but then at the last minute they throw in this secret side of her that actually found fat Masamune to be attractive?? What???? All of the sudden the revenge plot is gone, so now she needs to be presented as likable. Ten episodes is a bit too late to change my mind on someone’s personality. It’s also too late to rewrite the entire show. Man, I thought I avoided the new Rewrite this season. Our MC is pretty one-dimensional at times, although it's still fun to look at him. His strongest moments as a character come about when he talks about himself or his past, which sadly isn't on the menu for the foreseeable future. His motivation for his actions are a bit on the weak side in exposition, (reader) interest and plausibility, and we realize the main point of this manga is to sell the girls.

Masamune-kun suffers from an interesting phenomenon, something I like to call the "Guilty Crown Effect". At the beginning, we start with a very unique plot with tons of potential, and several different characters with what looks like room for development. However, after a short feeling of general oddness it takes an absolute dive into the abyss. a b Pineda, Rafael Antonio (April 26, 2018). "Masamune-kun's Revenge Manga Ends in 3 Chapters". She is also self-aware and embarrassed about her eating habits, partly due to hypoglycemia, but mainly because of the disappearance of Masamune, in which she told him that she gorged it off on food and felt miserable ever since. Since she is called the Cruel Princess, if anything embarrassing was to come out of the school that revolves around her (such as her habit of eating too much) Aki's image of being the cruel princess would be tarnished. This is one of the reasons why she eats in the storage room, another is that if she was eating a normal amount of lunch, her stomach would rumble loudly afterward which can distract her classmates and would embarrass her at the same time. Being around Masamune, who would have often come to her garden, made her wish that her parents had the same honesty as he did. It was when he started crying that she decided to make him stronger. Being around him raised Aki's emotional state as they grew closer. They even took a picture (the only picture).Cayanan, Joanna (November 27, 2023).
