She recieved this set for Christmas and has carried these figures around everywhere since. They are easily wiped clean since they are plastic. I did throw away the small glasses as I have a 1 year old too. I don't feel the small piece is appropriate for a toddler toy. The covers easily go on besides that though. My daughter can do it by herself.
