A prime cause of high-frequency attenuation, high inductance leads to a rise in impedance with frequency, reducing output in the upper frequency range. Low-Loss Dielectric I was able to hear each of the musical instruments distinctly with precise timing. It was too good to be true, so I replaced the wires with another brand, and oddly enough, the quality dropped. Never have I imagined that cables could have such an impact on the overall music quality. Unfortunately, our Installation Service excludes all gas appliances. It is the customer’s responsibility to find a gas safe engineer to connect the appliance. Any work conducted by a third part gas safe engineer will be at the customer’s expense and we will not accept any liability for their work. I have also prepared a list of the top five audio cables, alongside a detailed FAQ section where you will learn how to buy audio cables. Let’s get started. Cables The airy freedom either system is given when hooked up with the XT25 in particular, is a delight. In terms of outright expression, drive and punch, it doesn’t always match the C-Screen, but the presentation is both subtler and more sophisticated.

My friends were torn, unable to decide which speakers they liked better. So was I -- I liked both of them, for different reasons.

Same with speaker cable, you can spend more, it is after all your money, but in both cases it is unnecessary. The cable also uses AudioQuest’s Noise Dissipation System, which is essentially specially designed layers of shielding that reduce the impact of RF (Radio Frequency) interference and EMI (Electromagnetic Interference). It depends on the user. While some argue that expensive cables do not affect the overall music quality, others proclaim to have experienced a significant auditory enhancement when using them. But costly does tend to shine when it comes to longevity.

Each musical instrument within the given music/movie is expressed in detail, with each reverb hitting the notes at the right time. I have not come across any other cables capable of replicating the accuracy shown in the XT25. I really would try to borrow a few different cables if I were you and try them out with your own set up. If you can't hear anything between them, then fine. In my experience though, makes more of a difference than you would think. The reason why cable manufacturers make a big deal about gold plating is that copper and silver oxidize in the air. The cables would not last very long if they were not constantly cleaned. A layer of gold or zinc prevents oxidation, thereby greatly extending the lifetime of the cable. However, paying extra for the gold is usually not worth it. The XT40i has improved on an already successful cable by designing a groundbreaking Air Gap dielectric construction, according to the company. We are told that this reduces the cable's dissipation factor and capacitance by half. The promised result is vastly improved musical timing, a wider soundstage and improved bass control over its predecessor. Please note: TV and larger floorstanding speaker deliveries are not available to Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scottish Islands, and Channel Islands.I posted a reply earlier, with a link to all the information necessary to disprove this cable nonsense, but you either can't understand it or chose to ignore it, but if you do understand it, please feel free to offer a rebuttal, explaining why and where the information is incorrect. Provided that you know where to look, almost all audio cables have these qualities and the only differentiating factor is the overall build quality. Ideally speaking, 12-14 gauge wires are best for long-distance tasks, as long as the speakers have a low impedance (4-6 ohms). Speakers with a higher impedance (up to 8 ohms) will require 16 gauge wires that have a working distance of just below 50 feet. How much should you spend on cables? In loudspeaker cables high pitched sounds are forced to travel towards the outside of the conductor and so are able to use less and less of the available cross-sectional area as the pitch increases. This is called the “Skin Effect”. It means that for high frequencies the resistance of the cable appears to be much higher than it does for lower pitched sounds. Eddy currents in one conductor can affect the current flowing in an adjacent conductor so that currents flowing in the same direction move away from each other. This “Proximity Effect” also increases resistance as frequency increases. These phenomena have a detrimental effect on the fidelity of the sound you hear. The XT25 variation of QED X-Tube™ Technology solves these problems by creating a hollow tubular conductor geometry out of individual conductor bunches through which each frequency can pass with equal ease when compared to traditional solid or stranded conductors. The effort that goes into crafting and soldering expensive cables is usually higher compared to their cheaper counterparts. As a result, they tend to last longer and some argue that they even sound better, and whether the latter is true or not is up for debate.
