The writing style was the decent part about this also a major reason why I would continue the series and read other works by this author because the writing style was addicting 'not Rina Kent addicting' but rather 'good addicting'. Then again if this turns out to be another spin-off of the Blood And Ash books I'm also VERY down for it!

I´m far from quiting JLA, I couldn't resist picking up the sneak pick of A Fire in the Flesh and I absolutely loved it! Lis has no idea that Thorne is actually a prince – and one of the most powerful beings in the kingdom. It hadn’t stopped her husband from wanting a son even though Laurelin’s last birth had nearly taken her life. They could take different shapes, whip rivers into a frenzy with a flick of their wrists, and even seize the souls of the lowborn, creating the terrifying creatures known as the Rae.I can relate to Lista, similar to her I care a great deal about the people close to me and I'm also brave. There is a single, limited point of view via Lis, which happens to be my preference because I like surprises. also, everyone with brown eyes is low-born and normal and everyone with pale blue eyes is high-born and powerful… ma’am! There is smut, of course, but to the point where it overshadowed the plot at times, and it also felt as if some situations happened just to create an opening for more smutty moments between Thorne and Lis. I wanted to read this in the hopes that because it's with Pan MacMillan, it will have been edited well and the pacing issues will be improved if not eradicated.
