This experience has been fantastic primarily for the children, the school and also for me (professionally). Here we have Sleeping Brainy, Mouldysocks and the Three Bears, Jack and the Baked Beanstalk……you probably get the picture. Payments made using National Book Tokens are processed by National Book Tokens Ltd, and you can read their Terms and Conditions here.

It’s a fantastic independent book seller that will actually be responsive and select appropriate books for you. I gave this to my 6 year old daughter for Christmas and we have read a couple of pages most nights, finishing today. Yet things are never what they seem in Fearless Fairy Tales, and Zareen’s encounter with the peashooter could lead to a fierce debate. The _ga cookie, installed by Google Analytics, calculates visitor, session and campaign data and also keeps track of site usage for the site's analytics report. Fearless Fairy Tales has hints of Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes and other clever revisiting of traditional tales. Meet Trumplestiltskin, a vain and gold-obsessed little man who will stop at nothing to become richer and richer. There is no debate offered by power hungry Trumplestiltskin who condemns the King and his daughter Marla to the tower to spin gold, unless they reveal his real name.

Some of the data that are collected include the number of visitors, their source, and the pages they visit anonymously.Packed with stories about boys who aren’t afraid to cry and rhymes about girls who refuse to kiss frogs, FEARLESS FAIRY TALES shakes up dusty, old-fashioned (and, to be honest, rather sexist) bedtime stories and totally reinvents them for the twenty-first century. Packed with stories about boys who aren't afraid to cry and rhymes about girls who refuse to kiss frogs, this collection shakes up dusty, old-fashioned (and, to be honest, rather sexist) bedtime stories and totally reinvents them for the 21st century. Having watched Konnie Huq talking about this book on TV I decided to purchase this as a present for my granddaughter.

A hilarious and anarchic collection of classic bedtime stories for young readers, all utterly updated for a new generation - now in paperback format. There's Sleeping Brainy, the princess whose only dream is to become Chancellor of the Exchequer, and the Gingerbread Kid, who escapes persecution in his home country but struggles to fit in in his new one. Stories such as Sleeping Brainy who is so outraged by the hiring of a royal tutor that she conjures ‘ a cunning plan from thin air‘? Publication dates are subject to change (although this is an extremely uncommon occurrence overall).I was at my last school for 4 years and we had ********* book fairs every term – and every term, I was disappointed by the narrow range of books. Yourself and Bob are much cherished in our booky world and I personally really appreciate everything that you do.

However, I’m not sure how you might feel about reading that Mouldysocks loved playing games such as Mario Fart, (there is liberal use of the word throughout the tales which many will feel is playing for cheap laughs) and whilst you might secretly smile at Trumplestiltskin with its thinly veiled dig at a certain American President, you might also be concerned about sharing your views so liberally. At school he was voted 'least likely to become Prime Minister' and he's on course for this to be the case. The stories are short enough to be read aloud to a class, and older children will no doubt enjoy the play on words and the disrupted versions of well-known fairy tales.
