Kentaro takes the job, everyone thinks he is inept, he proves he isn't inept, a girl that initially disliked him falls for him, he rides off and leaves the girl wishing she had slept with him. So I'm a big fan of the OVA series that this Manga was based on and after watching it all over again one day when I was going through my favorite manga scan site this came up and I figured I'd give it a read and man was this something.For fans of the anime it's a serious case of Mood Whiplash, and it doesn't take long for it to stop feeling even remotely like the same character and story. Best Her to Bed Her: In Episode 5, Reiko notices that Kintaro wants her and promises to screw him if he beats her in a race. Each episode he gets a new job, finding himself in the difficult situations, and always managing to have a gorgeous woman involved in the story. I am not saying that Golden Boy is a great masterpiece, but it is a fun series that will provide some laughs to those of us that like dumb humor. The viewer knows that certain jokes are coming and it somehow makes it funnier when they finally happen.

Some insane (and I mean insane as in I seriously think the author has some kind of mental illness) things happen in the manga, and those things are pretty funny if you just take them out of context.
