The game is well-deserving of a play on the next generation of consoles, and it features a good story mode and some of the best graphics they've seen in a video game in ages.

You'll most likely have to play as all the characters as well, somewhat forcing you to have a general handle of what each character plays like.

Set on a strictly 2D plane but with fully 3D graphics (a’la Street Fighter 4), the gameplay feels like classic Mortal Kombat fare. With improved netcode and all balance fixes NetherRealm has released so far, Mortal Kombat XL is nearly a flawless victory. These share a fatality move set unfortunately but it’s still a nice way to add some extra characters to the game. The only downside to Mortal Kombat X was that a lot of extra content was locked behind some expensive DLC paywalls. Packed full of content and brimming with humour and gore in equal measure -well, probably more gore than humour to be honest – the game ended up being the best fighting game I had played in years, taking a thoroughly high production values approach to the gameplay of the early games in the series.

But if you’re a normal player who wants a bit of a story and lots and lots of accessible action, this is your best bet.and it just makes sense to me that Pinhead from Hellraiser would appear in this game too, as some sort of super-powerful, end-of-level Boss! There are also some well known horror and, sci-fi characters such as, the Predator, a xenomorph from aliens.
