Cogsworth quips that Belle was only being stubborn, as the Beast did say “please” (albeit insincerely, not to mention that Belle still grudged him for his prior mistreatment of her and Maurice, thus she was not being entirely unreasonable). When Sora, Donald, and Goofy arrived at the Beast's Castle, they were sent to rescue the servants at Belle's request. The very loveable Mrs Potts serves tea to keep other characters warm, welcomes Belle when she arrives in the castle, and also tries to persuade the Beast to act like a gentleman (although the latter is without much luck!
