The hatch that protects the cockpit area works well, and there is enough room to get your fingers in there to place/remove a minifigure pilot.

Here, tires have been replaced with small soft plastic orange caps that snap into Technic 1×2 bricks. There’s some variation across the sets with what weapons the warriors are equipped with; this time we get a crystal shard sword.
