About this deal

For non-mechanics, you'll be pleased to hear this process is very simple, exactly the same as fitting a set of cable disc brakes. This allows you to use your normal sti/ergo levers on a disc brake bike without the expense of upgrading everything to accommodate a full hydraulic set up. Had to adjust them for pad wear for the first time this weekend which involved turning the adjuster wheel which is just below the bare cable in the picture of the rear brake above so fairly easy, but I believe Trp Hy/Rd adjust themselves so a minus point there. The Juin tech F1 hydraulic cable pull road disc brake set offers a unique solution to the rider wanting to upgrade from mechanical cable pull disc brakes.

In the nice green box you get the two calipers, a pair of 160mm discs, pair of adapter mounts and the mounting bolts for everything. On the rare occasion that we ship you an incorrect item or your item arrives damaged, please get in touch with us so that we can resolve the issue as quickly as we can. Rim brake shifters and hydro calipers interest me, but as you guys say, the routing will probably make be a journey in to irritation. It is about 25% lighter than actual TRP HY/RD, which is famous as a lightweight Cable Actuated Hydraulic Disc Brake.

Braking performance is enhanced over a mechanical disc brake and the caliper has easy pad and cable adjustment. No had a chance to test it yet but just applying it in the garden nd it seemed to be a bit sharper than the Hayes, hopefuly I’ll get the rear fitted tomorrow and use them at the weekend. The GT hybrid hydraulic disc brakes offer the stopping power and modulation of hydraulic disc brakes, but are cable-actuated, which means they are compatible with your existing rim brake shifters and groupset.

The points do not expire, and can be used to top up your cash payment, or to purchase products outright. This reduces costs (no new brake fittings) as well as the time required and at the same time increases braking performance. Although not directly related to fitting Juin Techs, I've noticed that I seem to have more problems getting a low friction cable run to my rear brakes (not integrated) with stiff compressionless brake outers like Jagwire Elite than I do with traditional spiralled cable like the SRAM stuff.Still crave full hydraulics, but these are pretty much the best setup I’ve found if you need/want to retain cable actuation.
