Fortunately, the industrial environment ensures that Technic elements appear appropriate, although the position of the shroud is not precisely over the forge, which is somewhat disappointing. This visor shape is accordingly accurate, although it seems notably low when compared with the original character. It’s an issue that could have been offset with a slightly higher and larger print of the visor of the helmet, for proportionality and overall placement, even if that would have then taken away from the accuracy of said print.

Bring to life one of the pivotal moments of Season 1 of the Mandalorian when Din Djarin trades in his valuable Beskar for his fully-upgraded Mandalorian armour, courtesy of the mysterious Armorer whose identity is still a mystery. That begins with the central section to the set, the forge itself, complete with the blue flame furnace. I am assuming they aren't using his actual face underneath the helmet is because at this point in the show, his face has not been revealed.Both are designed with such credible detail that they just ooze that indescribable mix of authenticity and appeal that makes them so immediately collectible for any Star Wars fan.

However, the space between these connected sections is disappointing and could have been closed, especially since the walls cannot fold together. Just remove the lid of the case and slot the four sides securely into the underside of another display case with a base of the same size. In short, it’s a place forged into the minds of anyone who has watched The Mandalorian (which is probably most of us, according to Disney+ statistics), packed with story, action and character – and so, a perfect location to be put into a LEGO set. Instead, they serve merely as the icing on the cake, with 75319 The Armorer’s Mandalorian Forge packed with all the play, detail and authenticity any fan of The Mandalorian would hope for.

Using the same moulded helmet as for Gar Saxon is where the issue is, and it can be quite easily overlooked on an otherwise exceptionally-designed LEGO Star Wars minifigure (like pretty much all of them at the moment…). Here’s a closer look at Din Djarin aka The Mandalorian – the minifigure is identical to the one from 75299 Trouble on Tatooine, except that he doesn’t have a cape.

I would have liked to see the forge section placed along the rear wall, with the controls along either side.

These dark tan walls seem relatively bland, although I like the reddish brown structures which correspond with the series.
