Description

Made with the same yeast it has hints of banana and clove, but on top of that the roasted and caramel malts and flavours of raisins, dates and figs to make for a gorgeous dark, sticky dubbel-style beer with a surprisingly clean finish. At 6% it almost qualifies (in Belgium) as a 'session beer' but it should be an unhurried expedition into luxury to have a glass of this beer. The driver will input your year of birth into their device and may then require an ID check to complete the age verification process. Because we work from the barcode, if producers does not make us aware of a label change we often miss updates until we are contacted about it. Brugse Zot also goes through a re-fermentation that helps develop the taste while it’s in the bottle.

By using the Czech Saaz hop from Zatec, the beer has a complex pallet of roasted malts and a distinctive flavour. In the event of any safety concerns or for any other information about a product please carefully read any instructions provided on the label or packaging and contact the manufacturer. Complex flavours of spice, orange, lemon and a delicate malty sweetness are balanced by a certain bitterness and refreshing dryness. Brugse Zot is served in a tall, tulip-shaped, long stemmed and branded glass that allows the aromas to develop beautifully. Glasses and other items have no restrictions but please be aware these are packaged very well to avoid breakages, so postage can be high. These well-established brewers now distribute a few varieties of the drink, including the popular, golden-coloured Brugse Zot Blond. The launch of Straffe Hendrik – still the brewery’s flagship beer - heralded the era of strong degustation beers at De Halve Maan. It is the flagship beer produced by the oldest brewery in Bruges’ inner city, known for its Brugse Zot Blond and Donker (Dark). Please check the tracking first, as they may provide an explanation but we welcome the opportunity to nip issues in the bud.

Brugse Zot, a city beer for Bruges brewed by De Halve Maan, was launched in 2005 by Xavier Vanneste, but its name harks back to the late Middle Ages, when the Emperor Maximilian of Austria visited Bruges. The blonde Brugse Zot has now acquired a dark sibling: the strong, full-mouthed Brugse Zot Dubbel, brewed with Saaz hops and six specialty malts. The Warehouse Antiques contains over 50 stands and over 80 cabinets that puts on a real feast for the eyes, and offers a gift opportunity at every turn.Lightly spiced wheat (wit) beer of great complexity, starts off with aroma of mangoes, apples, citric fruit, wheat, yeast and finishes with slight sourness. There was blonde, brown, sometimes a bit more hoppy or a bit sweeter, but the concern for a fair quality product remained the main thing.
