I chose Blv over Jasmine Noir and Rose Essentielle, but I went back and got the Rose Essentielle all the same which is a deeply satisfying fragrance.

Initially famed for its magnificent jewelry, the brand has expanded its offerings to include watches, accessories, handbags, hotels and fragrances. I think that adding the ginger note and talking away the chocolate note, made all the difference because it smells overwhelmingly of ginger and citrus. Smells so stuffy, like soap and cheap sweet smelling shower gel that it almost blows my nose, it's just too much. The ginger comes across rather strongly at first, however the more the scent settles, the softer the scent becomes. All that said it is still kind of a simple fragrance, if you are used to more complicated ones this will be boring to you.Lasts some 6 to 8 hours, projects decently but not fantasticaly for some two of them and leaves a nice sillage, even if not for too long. The first impression is that of a special soap, gives the idea of someone that has just taken a shower. Give BLV a few sprays when you just swam a few lengths, tanned, showered off the Banana Boat and are ready to relax on your porch or balcony for the rest of the day before meeting up with friends for a bbq. After I sprayed BLV, all I kept smelling was ginger and bergamote and it unfortunately it reminded me of cheap men's cologne.

I was not as impressed with the EdT when I revisited it 10 years later as I didn't like the Cardamom-y opening at all. Top notes are Ginger and Bergamot; middle notes are Wisteria and Flax; base notes are Musk, Sandalwood, Black locust and Vanilla.These are later replaced by the main star of the show – spicy ginger and galangal, accompanied by aromatic juniper accords. At first the ginger and bergamot are really refreshing, but it quickly mellows out and I really like this comforting scent.

They do become stronger in the drydown, but never does BLU lose its essentially aromatic quality, and the wood and the musk, like the flowers, adorn the aromatics, not the other way around. If I didn't know that the main note is ginger, I would have thought of this as a citrus based fragrance! I've smelled Blu Notte before and it was smelled weird to me so I thought this one would be similar.The overall dna scent is absolutely pleasant but unfortunately can be considered unisex which this is undesired from my perspective. Lately when I go out an sniff perfumes I either shrug in indifference or wrinkle my nose, having been deeply offended. You would be hard pressed to find another affordable house that has created so many fragrances with their very own personality. Bvlgari has a way of constructing interesting, inoffensive and delicate Summer scents that really stand out from the other rival brands. While I have used perfumes that did not go with my chemistry, this is the only one that I had to literally scrub off of my skin to remove the smell.

The middle notes were okay but they weren't interesting enough to make me forget that strong, almost offensive initial blast of ginger. I don't dislike it - it's simple and comforting - but I think I'll be sticking to Prada's Amber pour Homme for my go-to soapy smell. It's an unusual, interesting scent safe enough for everyday use, Bvlgari managed to accomplish something with this, right? To top that off, I'm normally not a big fan of spicy fragrances, but this one managed to be one of my top 5. WOW W0OOW hahah( WHAT A NICE GEM ) Powder Scent, smells like baby powder, yes it's like a luxury soapy, very elegance, Sophisticated, clean, fresh, and powderyyyy.I enjoy it quite a lot more than other soapy/clean cheap popular designer releases such as Mugler Cologne or Nautica Voyage. Shower Gel: Start your day off right with the invigorating shower gel that cleanses your skin while leaving a hint of the mesmerizing scent. There are many fantastic fragrances that I love, enjoy and can’t live without, but there are only a few that I admire wholeheartedly. After the ginger, then the gingery wisteria and flax comes and goes, you're left with a WONDERFUL vanilla and bergamont that lingers forever! he has the purple joop which is like an aromatic spiced powder full on one, and I now can't stand it.
